I have lost my grandmother to cancer and I almost lost my mother to cancer. I never really knew what went through the minds of people with a terrible disease such as cancer, and especially in kids so young. These songs on purple songs can fly really touched my heart and encouraged me to join the fight against cancer. I want to especially point out a special person and song. When I listened to Stephen's "I can make it" it brought me to tears. I go to school with him and though I never really talked to him, I used to see him around a lot and his voice could be heard throughout the school's halls and at the choir concerts. I never thought of him to be the face of an cancer survivor. And as a songwritter/poet myself his song really reached out to me as I hope it will many others. And I most definately look foward to embracing an wonderful friendship with him in the future. Purple Songs YOU GUYS ARE SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Great project! I like the idea of reaching people with music. Just as Julie Andrews' character Maria and the children reached the grumpy captain in The Sound of Music.

What a great idea. It would be terrific if this could be expanded to other pediatric hospitals across the country. I would surely donate to make that happen! (P.S. Purple has been my favorite color since I was a little girl - and I liked the explanation on your mission page of why it's the ideal color!)

All I can say is WOW! What an inspiration you have brought to myself, but most of all to these children! I have never heard of "Purple Songs Can Fly" before. I was reading the November 30th issue of Womans World, and came across your article, and had to check out your website. I enjoyed ALL of the songs. What you are doing with these children is aboslutely wonderful. They get to be kids for once, and your the reason for getting their minds off of things, and helping them talk about their siutations. SO INSPIRATIONAL! I have been truly inspired! Thank you so much for all that you do!

You were absolutely amazing at Kaleidescope on Ice. I am so glad I had the thrill of meeting Anita, Nikki, and Mary Jo at dinner and back at the hotel and wish I had met the others from the group. You all are such powerful inspirations to everyone...especially those of us who have been stunned by the words "you have cancer."
I miss you already but will play your CDs in my car and keep your music in my ears and heart! Big hugs to each of you!!!

First I want to thank God for people like you. A friend in my church gave me an article from a Readers Digest about your mission. I play guitar and work with our youth and I had just done something similar where the 1st and 2nd graders gave me all the ideas they wanted in a song, which lead to "Touchdown Jesus!", their very own praise song. I just love what and What and who God places in my life, and am encouraged by acts like yours.
Keep on praising sister!,

Reading this story and visiting your site has really touched my soul and what you guys are doing is awsome! Keep up the great work. I look forward to hearing more songs. Sincerely,

Can you consider asking one of your talented techy-guys to construct some of the music on this page for YouTube:
http://www.purplesongscanfly.org/music.html
I would love to be able to share a YouTube link with all of my distance learning students and email subscribers about your efforts. I believe this would receive more "hits" than your mp3 files currently do. Your effort is certainly something that would attract a viral advertising effort through YouTube. Please, please, please consider doing this!
I learned of this from the Reader's Digest article.
