Five Roses

"Five Roses" —Jesus, 14

He wakes up one night screaming in pain
Wanting just to end everything
Then he sees a rose and it's a hero
It brings him strength

Like water on roses, drawing brings peace
Though petals may fall, angels will come
And when a rose re-blooms, it's magic

What gave his mom strength
Was hearing her son say

"I'll never look back, God's on our side"

Now he thinks back and gives thanks to God
And he cries, just cries and cries

Like water on roses, music brings peace

These words calm me down

It feels good to let them out
